Job Summary:
As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing information to patients about their medication, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs. You will work closely with healthcare professionals and patients to ensure optimal medication management.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Dispensing prescription medications to patients
2. Providing drug information to patients and healthcare professionals
3. Monitoring patient drug therapy and providing counseling
4. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and optimal medication outcomes
5. Compounding medications when necessary
6. Maintaining accurate patient medication records
7. Overseeing pharmacy technicians and support staff
8. Participating in medication therapy management programs
9. Keeping up-to-date on new medications and developments in the pharmacy field
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
2. Pharmacist licensure in the state of practice
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
4. Attention to detail and accuracy
5. Knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and regulations
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
7. Strong computer skills
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
9. Prior experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred
